Docent and Dance Pedagogue

I graduated in Düsseldorf, Germany at the vocational school for stage dance and pedagogics Pergel-Ernst with a major in classical academic dance and pointe work according to the distinguished methodology of Agrippina Vaganova. Still today, this is the most prestigious method at the leading ballet academies of the world including the Kirov Ballet Academy, the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy.

My vocational training includes a comprehensive theoretical background knowledge about didactics of ballet and conceptualisation of ballet classes with regard to working according to the Russian ballet methodology.

Also anatomy, dance medicine and physiology of dance are important issues in dance education. These disciplines amongst others like Sports Psychology or Biology of Movement, for instance, enrichen my teaching skills and professional performance in the fields of dance education.

In addition to my degree as a dance pedagogue, I also successfully completed my teacher studies in secundary general education at the University of Cologne, Germany.

Here you find further information about my teaching concepts and methodology.

Choreographies for performances or competitions are also part of my lessons. They are based on the technical skills and abilities of the dancers and highlighten them as an individual.

My conceptualised story lines involve the dancer and the setting likewise, everything is especially created for the story being told or the image displayed. Movements, music, costumes and requisites are carefully chosen to the dancer's needs. See also choreography and competition coaching
